Complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act is important for any business. You may ask why...
Because it is the Law
Non-compliance of course can result in claims against your business or employer. Claims that could ultimately result in fines or jail time.
The OHS Act compels the Owner, CEO or whatever title the person holds as the head of a business to comply with the Act in terms of Section 16.
They may delegate some of this responsibility to one or more employees in terms of the Act and as such these responsibilities fall to you as an appointed person.
Many health and safety practitioners make the OHS Act very complicated and clouded in myth. We are going to focus on what you need to know in order to comply and impress any Department of Labour inspector that you are both serious and organized.
This course focuses on ....
1. Giving you a working understanding of the OHS Act.
2. Giving you a working understanding of the COID Act
3. Providing you with the necessary tools to compile your own H&S file.
4. Showing you how to protect your business against claims from Contractors and Service Providers.
5. Providing you with various downloadable templates that are easily implemented, these include:
a. Appointment Letters
b. Policy
c. Agreements
d. Permits
e. and a whole lot more that you simply will not find in any textbook.
